Theatrical release of Louis Riel or Heaven Touches the Earth

Matias Meyer's Louis Riel or Heaven Touches the Earth opens June 27!

La Distributrice de films is pleased to announce the theatrical release of Louis Riel or Heaven Touches the Earth, directed by and starring Matias Meyer, and also starring Marc Antoun, Nicolas Lebrun, Julien Francoeur, Gaetano Frangella and Alina Meyer. The film, written by Matias Meyer and Alexandre Laferrière, is based on the writings of Louis Riel. The film had its world premiere at FICUNAM - Festival Internacional de CineUNAM, and has since played at a number of festivals, including the inaugural edition of Montreal's Critics' Week. It opens in Montreal on June 27 at Cinéma Beaubien, Cinéma du Musée and Cinéma Public, and opens on July 4 at Cinémathèque québécoise and July 6 at Cinéma Moderne. Special screenings in the presence of the filmmaker will take place on Friday June 27 at Cinéma Public and Saturday June 28 at Cinéma du Musée and Cinéma Beaubien, as well as on July 6 at Cinéma Moderne.
