Yousra Benziane is the winner of the 2019 Regard sur Montréal artistic residency where she directed the short film Nitrate. Special Bulletin (2017) was presented at the Regard Festival, on Air Canada flights, the Quebec Court program presented by SODEC at the Clermont-Ferrand Festival, and in twenty other festivals and events. The film was released at the Cinémathèque Québécoise to open Claire L'Hiver directed by Sophie Bédard Marcotte. In 2016-2017, Yousra Benziane presented the sculptural installation Fuite at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts as part of the exhibition The Art of Inclusion. His film Nitrate was the opening film of the Montreal International Documentary Festival (RIDM 2019) and won the FIPRESCI International Critics Award at the Regard Short Film Festival in Saguenay (2020).
