Lisa Bolduc
Canada (Quebec)

Lisa Bolduc is a filmmaker and producer from Lévis, Quebec. She writes, directs, produces and edits short films that take a human and often bitter look at the darker sides of contemporary society. With a background in social work and special education, she believes in the power of storytelling as a catalyst for change.

After graduating in cinema from Université Laval in 2022, she co-founded Les Émotives in 2023 with filmmaker Romy Boutin St-Pierre. The independent production company focuses on auteur, feminist and regional cinema, in both fiction and documentary. Les Émotives was founded out of a desire to move away from distant production companies, root projects in a local and regional context, and preserve full artistic and administrative autonomy over the films they wish to create.

Over the past four years, Lisa has directed and co-produced three short films with Les Émotives, accompanying them from the early stages of screenwriting and financing through to their distribution. She is currently in postproduction on her first short documentary.
