Anaë Bilodeau and Louis-Pierre Cossette have been writing, developing, drawing, and animating together since 2008. Their animations can be found in numerous projects and collaborations, such as the web series L'usine et ma vilaine mémoire de 9 ans (winner of the 2018 Numix Award for Best Web-Based Documentary) and in 50/50: The Documentary (2018), which aired on Radio-Canada’s Grands reportages. They produced and directed the animated short films Nuit blanche (2014), La dernière minute (2015), and À l’aube (2019), which were screened at numerous festivals and events where they won several awards and honorable mentions. In 2020, the NFB invited them, along with six other artists, to participate in the Parenthèse project: a series of short animated documentary stories that give a voice to Canadians affected directly or indirectly by COVID-19. This experience proved beneficial for them, as at the same time they were in the development phase of the short film The Mind as a Battlefield, an animated documentary released in 2026, which continues to make the festival circuit today.
