Writer / director Rami Jarboui was born in Tunis in 1990 and graduated from the Superior Institute of Multimedia Arts of Manouba (Tunisia). His short film “Soup” won first prize at the Mobile Film Festival in 2017. After that, he embarked on his first experimental short “Eidos” selected in JCC Carthage Film Festival and Berlin Experimental Film Festival. Rami is developing an animation short "The bird's placebo" with the support of the CEE animation workshop and "Trash Cemetery," a documentary feature. “Straight Backward” is his first short live action.
