Meryam Joobeur is a Canadian-Tunisian director who lives in Montreal. She is best known for her 2018 short film Brotherhood, which won multiple awards at film festivals, including the Toronto International Film Festival award for best Canadian short film at the Toronto International Film Festival; it was nominated for the Oscar for best short film in 2020.
